PICTURES, POEMS AND PASSION

by

Martin P. Crew-Gee

Born in Shifnal, United Kingdom, 1942

To give a background of my other works, I have written and illustrated two children’s books:
The King’s False Teeth & The Clown and The Warrior Children and the Sun Dragons.

However, my first E-book would not have been designed and written without the encouragement and help of my dear friends Andrew and Mimi Sia, to whom I am immensely indebted.

For this introduction I have extracted a paragraph from the epitaph in the E-Book, because I like to think it’s me in a nutshell that will, perhaps, encourage others to get published.

“Creativity is a lonely activity driven by the will to do more, to be productive and not shy away from the challenges, which are sometimes immediately solved or agonizingly difficult, but eventually obtains a satisfactory conclusion that only the artist can determine and resolve. Trying to do better and improve my skills is a constant practice that comes with successes and failures. It is a personal journey into the wilderness, something anyone can take, even if that journey is not clear at the starting line, but dimly indicates a light at the end of a long tunnel beckoning, somewhat timidly, to keep walking to the end.”
